Barcelona left-back Marcos Alonso has made it clear he wants to stay at the club next season.
The 31-year-old footballer moved to football at the Camp. Nou free on the summer of the past. By signing a contract for only one year. The report revealed that negotiations on a new deal had not yet taken place.
However, Alonso has confirmed that he is happy at the ufabet club and wants to stay at the club.
When asked about his future and a new contract, he said: “Not yet. I’m very happy and what’s going on right now depends on the club. But I will fight to be here and help the team,” Alonso said.
“In my house we have always been Barça and this is my father’s club. And I’m very happy to be here. The club is his life and I look forward to staying here for a few more years.”
For this season, Alonso has played 11 games for Barcelona in all competitions, scoring 1 goal.
Alonso also spoke about his family’s footballing history. His grandfather played for Real Madrid, while his father turned out for Barca and Alonso says he was always a culer.
The defender has made 11 appearances since signing for Barca this summer, playing at left-back and in central defense, but is certainly not a guaranteed starter.
